FAQs
Do I need to book in advance?
For tours: Yes, we strongly recommend advance bookings, especially during our peak season (March to September). This helps secure your preferred time slot.
For the interactive exhibit: While you can book on arrival, pre-booking gives you fast-track entry—simply show your confirmation and walk straight through! Otherwise, our friendly staff will be happy to assist you with booking when you arrive.
Can I unhitch my caravan/trailer?
Yes! We provide a dedicated parking area for caravans and trailers along John Flynn Wy adjacent to our public parking. This is the perfect spot to unhitch your vehicle before joining our tour.
Are you pet-friendly?
Yes! Well-behaved pets are welcome on both our interactive exhibit and tag-along tour. We simply ask that they remain leashed at all times for everyone's safety and comfort.
Can you help me research my family member’s military service?
While not one of our official services, our staff are always happy to assist with military history research, especially if your family member was stationed in Charleville during WWII. We're passionate about preserving these important connections and will do our best to help you uncover your family's military heritage.
Can I join the tag-a-long tour without my own vehicle?
While the tag-along tour typically requires your own vehicle, we may be able to accommodate you during our quieter periods if you contact us in advance. Please get in touch with our team to discuss possible arrangements.
Can I visit the tour sites independently?
Most of our historic sites are located on private property and can only be accessed through our official tour. However, there are several publicly accessible sites in the area that we're happy to recommend—just ask our staff for directions to these self-guided locations.
